North Carolina Reading Conference
On March 20, 2017, a team of teachers and professors attended the North Carolina Reading Association Conference at the Raleigh Convention Center. The goal of this event was to hold a professional development training on the implementation of a two week long study conducted in Helsinki, Finland in July 2017. This global connection, collection, and reflection project allowed the teachers to study education outside of the United States and implement strategies into our own classroom and schools. The NCRA conference is held annually and allows teachers, professors, and other experts to share their research-based practices with other literacy enthusiasts around the globe.
